our mission

WLP is a new organization that aims to connect students with similar ambitions. Our goal is to create an inclusive community of students at UW-Madison that assist each other and give back to our community. Our group was created with the intent of providing a safe and welcome community within this field. Despite advancements for women in the legal playing field, disparities remain large. 24% of women are represented in the Senate, 27% of women are in Wisconsin Legislature, and women make up only 12.8% of law enforcement officers. We value diversity in our organization. Additionally, all political ideologies and backgrounds are welcome. We intend to make and keep this organization a safe space for all students who share similar interests. Inquiries are always welcome.
